The founder of Mediapart, Edwy Plenel, denounced on Tuesday "the use of the police administration to undermine the secrecy of sources", during the first day of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the action of the government during the Cahuzac case. A message sent on December 11 by the chief of staff of the Minister Delegate for the Budget, Marie-Hélène Valente, indeed reports telephone conversations between Edwy Plenel and a source in the case, explains Fabrice Arfi, journalist for the information site online, at the origin of the revelations: "The police have been set in motion to monitor the telephone reports between Edwy Plenel and one of the protagonists of the case."
