The examination of requests for nullity on the Bettencourt affair, in the "abuse of weakness" section, is postponed to June 6. Nicolas Sarkozy and eleven others indicted awaited the opinion of the Court of Appeal of Bordeaux for their request for nullity of the procedure, conducted in this section by Judge Jean-Michel Gentile and his two colleagues.
"The Advocate General told the court that given the real legal difficulties posed by the briefs which had just been filed, he was requesting the referral of this case to a later date," Ms.e Thierry Herzog, specifying, after a brief hearing behind closed doors, that the date of June 6 was retained.
The file relating to the abuse of weakness of which the heiress of L'Oréal Liliane Bettencourt, 90 years old, recognized as senile since that date, is closed and was transmitted on March 28 to the prosecution by Mr. Gentil, and Mr.month Cecile Ramonatxo et Valerie Noel.
This closed hearing of the investigating chamber of the court of appeal was the last chance for all of the indicted to challenge the procedure.
