The prosecutor did everything not to tell the facts, worse he spoke to hide them, and did not use the word "asphyxiation" while the medical examiner mentioned it in his first report. This is the truth as it appeared despite the voluntary and scandalous concealment of the facts, of the two autopsies of July 21 and 26, by the Public Prosecutor of Pontoise.

Here is the story of the World:

“Three over to master it”

On July 19 at 17 p.m., in Beaumont-sur-Oise, gendarmes first arrested the brother and companion of Adama Traoré's brother as part of a investigation on extortion. Present during the scene, Adama Traoré fled. A radio call was then made, requesting reinforcements for the find.

Thanks to a report, three gendarmes locate him. They then enter the apartment where Adama Traoré is hiding. A non-commissioned officer present explains that the young man "resists his arrest". “We control the man with the weight of our body in order to immobilize him,” he also says. Another gendarme present corroborates this statement: "He started to discuss and I gave him a little twist in his left ankle. He started us say that he had trouble breathe. We were three above for the maîtriser. This same policeman specifies: “I was on his legs. My other two colleagues each controlled an arm. This technique corresponds to a ventral tackle.

In a report published in March, the French NGO to the defense of human rights Action by Christians for the Abolition of Torture (ACAT) calls for its ban because it "severely hinders respiratory movements and can provoke asphyxiation”, a risk accentuated by the agitation that the person arrested can show when he is suffocating and when people increase the pressure exerted on him. According to ACAT, several deaths have been caused in recent years by this technique.

And the investigation by the journalist from Le Monde (Julia Pascual) adds:

“As reported by the non-commissioned officer present that day, Adama Traoré clearly reported "having difficulty breathing". But, instead of calling for help, the three gendarmes embark the young man in their car and take him to the nearby gendarmerie to " him mean his custody". Arriving there, Adama Traoré "dozes off and has a loss of consciousness", declares one of the gendarmes. “When we took him out of the vehicle, he was unconscious”, confirms his colleague, who also explains that, fearing that he simulates, they left him handcuffed. Help is dispatched to the scene, in vain. Death was declared shortly after 19 p.m.

Further examination of the heart, says "pathological", made on July 26, made it possible to detect un “all lesions compatible with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy” in Adama Traoré, that is to say a heart disease that can being “potentially the direct cause of death”. At this stage, however, nothing can be certain. This illness could have caused a cardiac arrest and then Adama's asphyxiation. But it can also be completely foreign to it.

It can still explain a fragility in Adama Traoré, which would not have proved fatal if the gendarmes had not tackled the young man to the ground. His family wants today to get some answers. In an editorial of July 29 devoted to this case, the daily The New York Times warns : “Black lives matter in France, too”.

“Did Adama Traoré lack oxygen because he suffered from a heart condition? Did he run out of oxygen because three gendarmes tackled him to the ground, using a dangerous technique? Was it the combination of his probable illness and his immobilization that precipitated his death? »

We must stop manipulating the truth, lying and hiding, illness is "probable", "asphyxiation" is certain.

And we must allow the family to organize the mobilization and to file a complaint, not to silence it, neither it nor the demonstrations, “nassées”, again, the other evening, Gare du Nord.

As Philippe Marliére says: “ Adama Traoré, Zyed Benna, Bouna Traore, Wissam El-Yamni, Lamine Dieng, Hakim Ajimi, Amadou Koumé, Ali Ziri: the list continues to grow. It's curious, when the police 'challenges' ethnic minorities in France, it often ends in 'blunders'… it's above all the refusal to accept that these young people died because of their ethnic origin. The French republican software does not allow a certain left such a reading.

Jean-Christophe Greletty reacts: “ Absolutely. The difference is that in the USA many have understood that they were victims of a manhunt, a racist Far West style. And that in a few rare but real cases, criminal cops are in jail. In France, these deaths are attributed to bad luck but not to a will. And judicial and state impunity is total. Finally, the elites in France remain predominantly white and anti-popular. So these deaths are largely indifferent to them. Those who want to defend the discriminated against in the neighborhoods are accused of communitarianism. »
