Solar activity: NOAA sunspot groups 11195 and 11196 observed

Here is information that could mean nothing, on the other hand for those who follow the blog a little, it could have a “ for another " meaning. Needless to say that this will give rise to debates... Which we will perhaps talk about in these pages... : )))

There is no longer any doubt: solar activity has indeed resumed in recent months. Evidenced by this snapshot of April 24, 2011, taken by one of the authors of theCiel & Espace photo agency. This is German Mario Weigand, who observes from Offenbach.

This photo was taken in the blue calcium line using an 80 mm telescope. It shows with a wealth of detail the groups of NOAA spots 11195 and 11196, which have been particularly active in recent days. Zone 11195 could even give rise to a class M rash (this is the fourth level of a scale that has five).

The evolution of these spots can be followed day by day on the site of the American satellite Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO).

Sunspots are cooler areas of the photosphere. This is a consequence of the intense magnetic field present in these regions. Such clusters of activity can form in just a few days as shown the spectacular video made by SDO.

In short, even if it is no longer 'logged' on the map, it seems to be calming down, but nevertheless the massive selective deaths of animals continue...
