Absurdistan: the country of skiing without snow and amusement parks without attractions (FranceSoir)

Hello everyone, I hope you are well, I heard that this afternoon, and I said to myself that we really had the dumbest managers in the world. For your information, there were no mega clusters, etc., in the countries which authorized their ski lifts... Again, we were thought to be idiots...

Skiing Grass

Welcome to Absurdistan, where amusement parks have no attractions, where ski resorts are closed in winter, and where students can only go to class once they have passed their exam: better not too much haste with the upcoming opening of cinemas, films could be shown there without sound.

The opening of ski resorts without skis

The Secretary of State for Tourism Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne has just announced to mountain professionals the reopening of the ski lifts on May 19. This reopening will be gradual, with a gauge of 50% initially. You have to be happy with the little things.

To the bitterness of the French, echoes the satisfactory results of the Swiss model. The government has made the bet to keep the ski lifts open and it has been largely won. No source of contamination is to be declared and the drop in attendance, due to the absence of foreigners, is only 24% on average.

The WHO recalled that, last year, the ski resort of Ischgl had been one of the main centers for the dissemination of Covid-19 in Europe. True, but that's more the fault of the bars and restaurants than the lifts and slopes. To limit contamination, the police blocked, at certain times, the access roads to certain areas in order to prevent an excessive influx. This successful record contrasts with that of France, where professionals have continued to discuss with the government throughout the winter, to put in place protocols and ensure the safety of customers. But that was not enough to convince. The reopening of the ski lifts has been postponed, month after month.
The opening of amusement parks without attractions

This Thursday morning on RMC, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, the Secretary of State for Tourism, confirmed the reopening of theme parks on May 19. Their attractions won't open until June 9, however. A delay which is justified by the desire not to deconfine too quickly, in order to avoid any rebound in the epidemic.

"We want to do the last kilometers very quickly but we have to go there in good order," says the Secretary of State. With the attractions closed, we are not likely to be able to cover the last kilometers very quickly, but we will most certainly be able to go there in good order, taking advantage of outdoor activities, zoos and some spaces such as aquariums, the only open activities in the parks.
How far will we go into the absurd? Swimming pools that will reopen without water? Empty glasses imposed on the return of the terraces? Theaters without actors? We are probably not at the end of our surprises, trust the prodigious inventiveness of our beloved technocracy.
