93% of soybeans and 80% of corn in the United States come from Monsanto's GMO seeds

An article by Sott translated by News Of Tomorrow, when I saw the figure I jumped, because we warned you a long time ago about Monsanto salespeople roaming the world to sell their adulterated products and © Copyrighting Nature. And besides, they are not even able to make harmless products. What will happen when they have replaced all natural substances with GMO substances, will we be entitled to a small production crisis and an announced world famine? In any case You can always resist with a nice little basket of organic vegetables and farm products bought from a market gardener who delivers it to you for 2 €, for 30 € of order or less, so don't deprive yourself.

Most people don't know that much of the food they eat every day has been genetically modified. In fact, there has literally been a revolution in the last decade. Today, 93% of soybeans and 80% of corn in the United States come from seeds genetically modified according to Monsanto's patents. But is it a good revolution? Is it a positive thing that a company has control of such a high percentage of seeds? Is there any reason to believe that genetically modifying our food could be harmful to all of us?

The truth is that Monsanto has gained increasing market share in the seed market, prices for genetically modified seeds from Monsanto have steadily increased. In fact, these prices have nearly doubled over the past ten years.

Monsanto's competitors say they have "ruthlessly" stifled competition in the seed industry. They want the government to consider antitrust action against Monsanto.

But they're not the only ones angry.

Many farmers are fed up with Monsanto's callous use of the legal system. Across the United States, the wind carries Monsanto's genetically modified seeds to nearby fields. Monsanto regularly sends investigators to visit farms and see if Monsanto strains are found on those farms. If there are, Monsanto is going after these farmers.

Other activists are concerned about Monsanto's impact on the environment.

You see, once genetically modified crops are released into the wild it is virtually impossible to contain them or find them. Insects, birds and the wind easily transport genetically modified seeds to neighboring fields and beyond. Pollen from genetically modified plants eventually crosses during pollination with natural crops and wild relatives. In fact, once GMOs are widespread enough, natural crops may disappear.

You cannot put the genie back in the bottle.

Was it wise for the United States government to allow so many genetically modified crops into the environment, especially when we don't know the impacts of these crops on the environment, and for long-term health they are not known?

The truth is that many natural health experts claim that there is growing evidence that genetically modified foods are linked to food allergies, gut damage, autoimmune disease, anemia, diabetes, infertility and even cancer.

Independent scientific studies on the effects of genetically modified organisms have produced very disturbing results.

However, independent scientists and even government officials who have dared to question the safety of genetically modified foods have been harassed, threatened and in some cases even fired. Some people want to make sure the public only knows one story.

With billions of dollars in profits to be made, it would surely be embarrassing if the truth about genetically modified foods were known to the American public. The reality is that the monumental greed of the "mega-corporations" we have created is going to end up killing a lot of people.

If these GM crops run into problems or are more susceptible to disease than the natural versions, could we end up with a massive food emergency? If it turns out that a massive increase in certain diseases this decade is due to genetically modified foods, what will happen to the demand for organic seeds?

There are many such unanswered questions. Many people are becoming increasingly aware of genetically modified crops and seeking to avoid them, but the reality is that they are almost everywhere and are found in an increasing number of food products, so it is almost impossible to completely avoid them.

It is more difficult than ever for us who seek to eat well and live an organic lifestyle. I hope someone in Washington DC wakes up before it's too late.
