Of course France could emerge from the crisis, and even before 2015…
Still there would have to be a real political or, failing that, civic will...
Otherwise, alas!… You know what awaits us… (additional information).
Two-thirds of French people (66%) believe that the country will not emerge from the economic crisis before the end of 2015, a proportion that has risen sharply compared to November 2012 (49%), according to a survey CSA for BFMTV released Thursday, April 25.
To the question "in your opinion, when will France emerge from the economic crisis?", 1% of respondents answer by "by the end of the year", 7% "in 2014", 16% "in 2015" and 66% "later". Ten percent don't know.
Left-wing sympathizers more optimistic
“This strong pessimism is largely confirmed by all the categories of the population questioned”, commented CSA in a press release.
If 18-24 year olds are indeed a little more pessimistic than their elders (78% believe that France will not emerge from the crisis before the end of 2015, compared to 62% of 50-64 year olds), managers and workers are also likely to see no end before the end of 2015.
Left-wing sympathizers, on the other hand, are more optimistic: 44% believe it is possible to end the crisis before the end of 2015, against only 18% of right-wing sympathizers and 9% of those of the National Front.
Survey carried out by internet on April 23 and 24 on a representative sample of 997 people aged 18 and over, formed using the quota method.
