60 tonnes of beets stolen in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region

Relation cause and effect ? In my mind there is no doubt..., Have you seen those news stories where cattle were shot with multiple .22 long rifle bullets (because it's small caliber, so he had to take it several times) , and then the animals were butchered for their meat? Such conditions of slaughter for theft makes me nauseous, think of the ordeal of these poor animals. Speculation and the world of finance will have our skin, and will plunge our society into the abyss, they have no limit... And almost everywhere we see the consequences...

A farmer from Hélesmes (near Denain) had the unpleasant surprise of finding that part of his sugar beet harvest had disappeared from the storage area located in the open fields in Escaudain.

Of the 800 tonnes waiting to be transported to a sugar refinery near Cambrai, a good sixty had been stolen. Neighbors reportedly saw movement around the site but believed it to be routine manoeuvres. The perpetrators must have been well organized and possessed a machine capable of transporting as many beets as evidenced by the tire tracks on the ground.

Comment: Food thefts seem to be on the increase.
