Tax Evasion Macron Ministers 30 05 2019

According to the report of the High Authority for the transparency of public life for the year 2018, not yet published, more than half of the French government was subject to a tax adjustment last year, reports the Duck chained . Those concerned are “members of the government appointed in 2017 and during the first half of 2018”.

In its 2018 report obtained by Le Canard Enchaîné, the High authority for the transparency of public life notes that 21 out of 35 tax declaration files of members of the government had to be modified.

According to the HATVP, which "has the mission of supervising the tax audit members of the government, led by the General Directorate of Public Finance (DGFiP) as soon as they are appointed” in order to “ensure an impartial and independent control”, these cases concern “members of the government appointed in 2017 and during the first half of 2018”.

“Of the 35 files closed, 21 gave rise to rectifications”, or 60% of the government, underlines Le Canard Enchaîné this Wednesday, May 29.

In addition, the HATVP specifies that the taxpayers concerned “were in good faith”, except in one case. This is the first time since the establishment of the institution in 2013 that a minister has failed to meet his obligations.
