Whose fault if the control criteria are stricter, and if people cannot pay the cost of repairing their old vehicle, to pass the technical control... So be warned, they want to do the same for insurance, and cross files when you get flashed...
The National Council of Automotive Professions (CNPA) estimates the number of potentially dangerous vehicles on the roads at 10.
The fine for a lack of technical control on a vehicle can reach 750 euros (135 euros for a fixed fine). This amount does not seem to worry the many motorists who do not submit to it. At the end of October, according to professionals in the sector, nearly 560 vehicles out of a French car fleet of 000 million units had not made this visit since the beginning of the year.
“There is always a share of motorists who forget to respect the deadline for their control, but the current proportions are abnormally high. I doubt that we will make up for this delay before the end of the year", warns Karine Bonnet, the president of the Dekra network, interviewed in the Journal Auto.
Last week, the National Council of Automotive Professions (CNPA) sent a letter to Edouard Philippe to report this anomaly. The road safety delegate, Emmanuel Barbe, and the Ministry of the Interior have also been made aware.
According to the CNPA, out of these hundreds of thousands of vehicles driving illegally, some may have serious malfunctions. At a minimum, the Council estimates that 10 vehicles present a direct or immediate danger when circulating on the roads.
