300 Kinects in France

We definitely laugh about Crashdebug : ) Several months ago, and thanks to some programming notions, I was going against the current against the new peripherals of the Kinect type. Indeed, with their broadband connections and their access to Internet, as well as their fabulous capabilities and applications inherent in this type of device, hides a Trojan horse... Accepting this type of sensor in your home is therefore a double-edged sword. It's not the fact that the device has already been cracked, as well as the disturbing update concerning Kinect of the "Conditions of use of Xbox LIVE and Games for Windows LIVE" quoted below which will reassure me... In any case, we can congratulate the 8 million buyers and especially the 300 French who do not read this blog. They will be able to play ball with their hands and will serve as guinea pigs; ) Look at the video that I presented to you of Alex Jones at 000 mn 3 where the truth was beginning to break through in the USA...

Here's an excerpt from the latest "Xbox LIVE and Games for Windows LIVE Terms of Service"

This part mainly concerns Kinect:

"Do not expect any degree of privacy regarding your use of the live communications features (e.g., voice chat, video chat, and communications in live online gaming sessions) offered through the Service. Such communications may be monitored. However, we cannot monitor the entire Service and that is not our purpose. You understand that such communications may be recorded and used by third parties, and communications in live online gaming sessions may be distributed to third parties. Some games use game maintainers and hosts. They are not authorized Microsoft spokespersons and their views do not necessarily reflect those of Microsoft. We do not regularly monitor your use of the communication features of the Service. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we may monitor your communications and disclose information about you as set forth in this Section 9."

On the 8 million Kinects sold worldwide, It seems like 300 000 copies of the device Microsoft have found takers in France.

At least that's what Guillaume Eppe, the Xbox communication manager, says in an interview with TF1. He goes further by stating that the sales of exceed those of PlayStation Move from Sony in "half the time".

Furthermore, it is interesting to note that 55% of were sold alone, and 45% as a pack including an Xbox 360, so 45% new users from the console.
