Jeans has long worked in the luxury car business. He has a string of commercial successes and sales records at Mercedes-Benz. Following the death of his grandmother, he began volunteering in a retirement home and ended up applying to become director of an EHPAD. Operation ultimately not so different from the question of sales volume at Longchamp.

“I wanted to win, I didn't immediately think about the financial results, I thought about winning and when a company wins, it makes money. » Jeans

“I was confronted from the start with this need to save money. » Jeans

Soon, he finds himself at the head of a huge establishment, where the negligence of the staff, understaffed and overworked, has terrible consequences.

“A resident had bedsores, her dressings, which had to be changed every two days, were not changed because the team was burnt out. It was summer, flies got into her room, the bandages got infected and she died. » Jeans

Jean talks about his obsession with profitability. No matter what, until it gets out of hand.

“What struck me in the medico-social field was the apprehension of death as a commercial element. One death is one less resident. " Jeans

Christine fifty-six years old. Diagnosed with a kidney stone, she must undergo a minimally invasive operation in March 2016. But her surgeon insists that the operation take place on May 31. That day, everything becomes strange.

There are cameras in the block, I'm starting to find it weird, to be very anxious. A man I don't know comes up to me and says “I'm your surgeon”. I don't understand. I shout "I want to see my surgeon!" ". And there, I am anesthetized. Christine

When she wakes up, Christine realizes the doldrums: she served as a guinea pig during an international medical show.

“My intervention, the cameras, this Italian doctor were part of this challenge, a kind of live demonstration of this intervention. I was taken as a guinea pig without my knowledge. My body was used as an object for business purposes. » Christine
