Oslo - A young Congolese woman has been sentenced to 45 days in prison after being arrested at Oslo airport with 20 euros hidden in her vagina.

The 19-year-old woman was sentenced by the courts to "involuntary complicity" in an alleged currency smuggling, according to the police. Thus, a local police official explained to AFP: "She was spotted by customs officers at Gardermoen (Oslo international airport, editor's note) who asked her if she was carrying foreign currency [...] Initially, she only showed 325 euros but she ended up confessing that she was carrying 20.000 euros. "The 20.000 euros were hidden inside her vagina, in large bills. The young woman explained that she agreed to transport the money on behalf of a man she met on Facebook.
