The zoo-refuge La Tanière, located in Nogent-le-Phaye (Eure-et-Loir), should soon accommodate 200 donkeys. These animals will travel from Israel, where they are now cared for by an association that no longer has the means to take care of them properly.

Important rescue mission underway for the zoo-refuge La Tanière, located in Nogent-le-Phaye (Eure-et-Loir). The structure, founded by Francine and Patrick Violas, will help no less than 200 donkeys from Israel, reports Chartres News.
She was contacted by an association based near Tel Aviv, Le Graal, which collects donkeys from the Middle East to offer them a better life. Recently, the country's authorities have placed hundreds of animals with the organization, which does not have the means to take care of all these animals.
Too many animals
“The domain is too small and the donkeys step on each other, assures Patrick Violas. The association there no longer has much money to feed them, nor hay”. La Tanière has therefore decided to take care of these animals, which must be repatriated to France on board 4 planes.
For its part, Le Graal takes care of the administrative procedures and in particular of creating passports for the animals. Patrick Violas hopes that this rescue will have an echo and will collect donations to help animals.
