Focus on the site of the Dominicans of the convent of Lille:
In the Christian tradition, the 40 days of Lent which prepare for the feast of Easter are a privileged opportunity to give oneself time: time to take stock of one's existence, time to ask oneself the essential questions, time to seek God.
Take the time to meditate, to pray, to dialogue.
La Retreat in the City does not only last for the space of a click: it is intended to be the foundation of a true spiritual experience. Through it, the retreatant is integrated into a living community.
The Retreat in the City is a 40-day spiritual retreat on the Internet: from Ash Wednesday (February 17) to Easter Sunday (April 4, 2010). Proposed by the Dominican brothers of the convent of Lille, it is addressed to all those who have a desire for spirituality for their daily life, all those who would not have the possibility or the idea of leaving for a few days. This proposal is free and simply requires an email address.
In 2009, more than 27 people registered for the Retreat in the City and 500 Internet users from 90 countries visited our site.
"The truth will set you free!" Around this theme for Lent 2010, the brothers propose 4 approaches to the retreatants:
- read daily meditations, or listen to them,
- listen to the prayer sung every day,
- to be accompanied spiritually,
- join a community.
