Mudslides and cosmetic surgery

Definitely it's really the best who go first, and concerning cosmetic surgery why not, we must not overdo it otherwise we end up looking like a wax dummy.

As for the bias of the media I have long since had no illusions, look at the Money Game in the file section, however there are still brave...

The information, originally published in a British tabloid, has been picked up by many online media: the president's eldest son, Pierre Sarkozy, is said to have narrowly escaped death while he was in Brazil, where important mudslides have killed dozens of people in recent days. But one detail of the story, concerning a plastic surgeon and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, has been variously interpreted by these sites.

The information was revealed on Sunday January 3 by the British tabloid Daily Mail. We learned that the eldest son of the French head of state, Pierre Sarkozy, who was celebrating the New Year with childhood friends in Brazil, would have been close to death in the mudslides that have affected the country in recent days. THE Daily Mail even quotes a diplomatic source in Paris: "they could see the mudslide from their window and hear terrifying noises, but they were miraculously saved".

But another detail was added surreptitiously by the Daily Mail : "Pierre, a rap music producer, was staying at the home of Ivo Pitanguy, a renowned plastic surgeon whose client list includes French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy". A sentence which therefore implies that the First Lady, a former model, would have had recourse to cosmetic surgery.

This detail, which the editorial staff of @si admits to ignoring whether it is true or not, has been variously taken up by the French online press.

Parismatch.com bias in evoking "a world-renowned plastic surgeon, Ivo Pitanguy, close to Carla Bruni, the First Lady of France".

With a similar technique, LeParisien.fr, writes that "This house would have been lent by a surgeon, known to Carla Bruni-Sarkozy".

Lefigaro.fr repeats the information by quoting Leparisien.fr, but eludes everything concerning the cosmetic surgeon. Just as the newobs.com ou 20minutes.fr, which do not mention the surgeon.

TF1.fr on the other hand evokes well the stay of the son of the French head of state with this renowned surgeon: "According to the daily, Pierre Sarkozy was hosted by Ivo Pitanguy, a famous plastic surgeon", but the reference to Carla Bruni-Sarkozy disappears. same for me Liberation.fr.

On the other hand, just like Lepost.fr, Lepoint.fr do not hesitate to quote the Daily Mail in its entirety : "the eldest son of the French head of state found himself trapped by torrential rains and mudslides while he was in the villa of the famous surgeon Ivo Pitanguy, one of whose patients is none other than the first lady of France Carla Bruni-Sarkozy".
