In this case, who is crazier, the victim or the executioner?
Although it may seem fictitious to some, it is a widespread fear in our society, among young and old alike. The fear of a neighbor, a passerby or even a trusted man. The fear of a knife or a stove. Of a human who eats humans; a cannibal. There have always been instances of cannibalism throughout the world, whether out of survival, belief, or simply because of some weird trend. Here is the case of Armin Meiwes, a man not unlike your neighbor.

Grown up alone with his mother on a farm in Germany, had a difficult childhood. Rejected and marginalized from his childhood, he quickly forged an independent personality. It was during adolescence that Meiwes really discovered his homosexuality and his penchant for sadomasochism, and it was thanks to the Internet that he met his first friends. Registered on homosexual dating sites under the pseudonym Franky the Butcher, he spent several hours a day on the computer. This is also where he will go to plan his long-awaited meal.

Some may say that this man was a deviant, a madman who should have been locked up a long time ago. However, during his trial, the option of psychological disorders was ruled out after a professional evaluation. The crime then committed by this man would not be that of killing this man to eat him, but of having the idea.
