It is as a citizen that I am happy to inform you of the holding of:

1re UNIVERSITY OF THE REPUBLICAN POPULAR UNION

UPR

September 21 to 23, 2012 – Lake Annecy – Haute-Savoie

If the year 2011 was the year of the second national congress of the UPR and the announcement of the presidential program of François Asselineau, 2012 will be the year of the first university of our movement.

It will be held from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 September on the shores of Lake Annecy, in the heart of the Alps.

In one year already, the UPR has more than doubled its workforce and now has more than 1700 members. It thus follows an almost exponential trajectory since more than 1100 members of all persuasions, opinions and conditions have joined the movement since last August.

Our goal, unchanged since our creation and whose relevance is confirmed by events a little more each month, is to get France out of the European Union, the euro and NATO as quickly as possible, in order to to restore the independence of France, to restore freedom to its people, and to restore to our country its role as spokesperson for the freedom of peoples and nations.

The progress made is already very encouraging. Without being political professionals and thanks only to voluntary work, we patiently build the structures necessary for the life of a citizens' movement. Enthusiastic, we spread our ideas in many meetings and actions throughout France and on the Internet. Our militant dynamism surprises the political parties and the established media.

Every week, tens of thousands of supporters testify to their support by their letters, their donations and their record visits to the UPR website, its Twitter, its blog, and its Facebook page: in July, the latter experienced peaks in consultation with 17.000 different visitors per day.

While journalists working in independent media relay us regularly – and we thank them warmly -, those in mainstream media pretend to ignore us but… they subscribe in large numbers to our Twitter account. And for good reason ! All the events continue, week after week, to confirm the accuracy and foresight of our founding Charter adopted on March 25, 2007, as well as the relevance and the ability to bring together our program of December 3, 2011, directly inspired by that of the Council National of the Resistance.

Nice course, but a lot remains to be done. The movement must be better structured.

The university has set itself two objectives:

  1. develop the UPR internally by strengthening our cohesion and our methods,
  2. and launch preparations for the next European elections.

WHAT OBJECTIVES FOR THIS UNIVERSITY?

1) STRENGTHENING OUR COHESION AND OUR METHODS

It is primarily for the pleasure of our members, – from the first present to newcomers, as well as those who will join us by then -, that this gathering is organized over 2 and a half days.

Our first objective is to give time to all our members who will have the opportunity to make the trip to get to know each other, in order to strengthen our solidarity and our community of thought. We are going to share experiences and create new tools and structures, in order to best support the irresistible rise of the UPR on the political scene.

The university will reserve a workshop for departmental leaders, which will be devoted in particular to this question of sharing experiences, so that they can formalize together new tools to strengthen our structures.

Other workshops will allow all questions to be asked and new suggestions to be launched. They will share their work, their tools and their achievements.

2) LAUNCH PREPARATION FOR THE NEXT EUROPEAN ELECTIONS IN 2014

As François Asselineau already announced on March 25, the next stage of our development involves our participation in the European elections of June 2014. Preparing ourselves for this important deadline will be the university's other objective.

These elections should be an opportunity for our movement to powerfully increase its national notoriety to spark the first legitimate and republican debate on France's exit from the European Union. And to obtain one or more UPR deputies in the European Parliament: that would be a formidable kick that the French people would send into the anthill of the Europeanists!

The university will open a permanent workshop dedicated to this question:

  • a rapporteur will collect all the ideas, initiatives and experiences of the members. He will identify skills, build a knowledge base and coordinate related projects.
  • A summary report will help the National Council to define the strategy to follow.

These are the goals we set for this university. We look forward to seeing you from September 21 to 23 and are counting on your presence to share this important moment in the history of our young movement.

THE PROGRAM

Faithful to the cordial atmosphere that has animated us for 5 years now, our university will alternate between working time, meetings and festive moments.

  • Meetings between members from all over France.
  • The opportunity for each of them to talk in a friendly way, throughout their stay, with François Asselineau and the main leaders of the movement.
  • Workshops to define new tools and responsibilities.
  • A participatory militant training workshop on Saturday morning, for all members.
  • Debates with external guests on Saturday afternoon, in particular with the Swiss journalist Myret Zaki.

myriad_zaki_upr.jpg

  • An unprecedented conference by François Asselineau on Saturday evening, followed by a debate.
  • A festive evening on Saturday, including a large raffle with historical memories which will be commented on by François Asselineau
  • The report of the work of the workshops on Sunday morning.

The university will end, for those who wish, with a walk that is both bucolic and moving in the footsteps of the French Resistance, towards a discreet historic site, which we will preserve from the political recoveries that have unfortunately become customary.

THE WELCOME PLACE

The place that welcomes us is ideally placed in the heart of a magnificent wooded area of 4 hectares, surrounding a XNUMXth century farmhouse.e century. It is entirely reserved for the holding of our University.

It includes very modern, comfortable and elegant "mobile homes", in which participants can stay, according to different types of formulas.

The park also includes a large swimming pool overflow and play areas.

High-speed WiFi (expenses to be paid on the spot) will allow all those who wish not to be cut off from their usual environment.

There will be places for work and exchanges, but also for conviviality: a marquee, set up for meetings, will accompany our end-of-night celebrations. A guinguette will serve meals and drinks at low prices, alpine cheeses, Savoie wines, or even a glass of genepi for lovers of gastronomy.

A few minutes walk away, a small village has all the necessary shops and services. We will also be able to enjoy the charms of Haute-Savoie, its panoramas and country walks, and of course Lake Annecy.

We offer stay packages on the estate itself, detailed in the following section.

Please note that the stay in the domain:

  • - is reserved for up-to-date members,
  • - is optional.

We do not offer accommodation for simple "visitors".

Stays at the estate

Although accommodation on your own is completely at the discretion of participants who wish to do so, we nevertheless recommend accommodation in the domain on site. It is indeed the ideal way to meet and get closer to all the members of the UPR, and to participate in the unity of place and spirit of the event.

Please note: the rates are fixed regardless of the length of your stay, whether it is one night or two nights. (even three nights for UPR officials).

Whatever the formula chosen, these packages include participation in logistics costs and give full access to all university events.

Two types of holiday formulas are offered: in a mobile home, or in a campsite.

  • MOBILE-HOME formula

These are modern mobile homes, with contemporary decoration, with a surface area of 30 m², 4 or 6 places, equipped with:

- separate bedrooms for two people (1 double bed 140×190 cm with slatted base or 2 single beds 70×180 cm with slatted base),

- very comfortable mattresses,

- a living room with kitchen area, sofa and dining table, - a bathroom with washbasin and shower with unlimited hot water flow,

- separate toilets,

- and a terrace equipped with a table, chairs and deckchairs.

We offer 3 options, depending on everyone's wishes (those who above all wish to preserve their privacy, or those who above all have budget constraints):

  • “Budget” option : in a 4 or 6-seater mobile home, free placement in the bedrooms (note: given the relative smallness of the Mobile Home, this implies good humor and a spirit of conviviality)
  • ..................................... 62 € / pers. / whatever the length of stay
  • “Comfort” option : in a 4-seater mobile home, but with only two occupants (each having their own bedroom, privacy is better preserved; it is also an ideal formula for couples)
  • ..................................... 82 € / pers. /regardless of the length of stay
  • “Privacy” option : in a 4-seater mobile home, but with only one occupant
  • ..................................... 124 € / pers. /regardless of the length of stay

Sheets and blankets are provided, but remember to bring:

  • - your towels and bath towels.
  • - your bathing suits if you plan to use the swimming pool.

Also provide 80 € per person for the deposit, returned after inventory.

Deposit payable in cash, uncashed check or credit card.

  • CAMPING formula

This ultra-economic formula is offered to participants who wish to reduce their expenses as much as possible and who have their own tent (or possibly their own motorhome)

Camping or motorhome ………………….. 21 € / pers. / whatever the length of stay

This entry fee allows:

  • to have access to the campsite, located in the heart of the domain, which has pitches of all sizes.
  • to have the comfort of campers: toilets, laundry, changing rooms, hot showers, access to electricity...

=> [NOTE: we insist on the fact that people staying with their own tent on the estate have free access to it and therefore do not have to pay the flat fee of €20 for those who are not staying on the domain. This is equivalent to paying 1€ / person and whatever the length of stay for this type of accommodation: it is difficult to offer a more economical solution...]

You will find:

FINAL WARNING: SPIRIT D’ÉTEAM AND GOOD MOOD

We recall that the UPR is a very young movement, penniless and still under-supervised, whose actions are carried out by volunteers in their free time. It is also our first “University”. Although we do everything to ensure that this university runs as smoothly as possible, we therefore ask participants and visitors in advance to show indulgence, good humor and team spirit if they notice such or such a small malfunction.

We recall in this respect that the “universities” of the major political parties are organized by companies whose job it is, and with considerable budgets ultimately financed by taxpayers. We obviously do not have the means to rely on such subcontractors. It is therefore not to be expected that our services will be of a comparable level.

We also point out that the "universities" of the major political parties generally charge their participants much higher registration or accommodation fees than those we propose. In particular, our camping offer is unbeatable in terms of value for money; it proves our constant concern to take into account the tightest budgets of our members and supporters, while having the concern to cover the fixed costs of this operation.
